Temple Buddhist Service 9am - 10am and 10:30am - 11:30am, Sundays, Charles Fillmore Chapel
Western Buddhism is a new and exciting form of spirituality that blends eastern philosophy with western psychology and incorporates Buddhist insights and wisdom into the activities of our daily life. The focus is on the teachings of the Buddha, mindfulness and meditation.
We'll spend time in Noble Silence followed by a Dharma talk or teaching, that applies Buddhist principles in a practical way to our daily lives. The service ends with Metta or loving-kindness practice and an opportunity for refreshments and discussion.
TBC Sunday Service features regular speakers such as Robert Brumet, Bethany Klug, Victor J. Dougherty, John Corbaley, Sarah Aptilon, Nicoya Helm and Ben Worth, but also often includes special guest speakers such as Kevin Griffin, Shaila Catherine, and more. Each Sunday TBC is honored to have a guest musician. Each artist is skilled in creating a contemplative and soothing background providing our meditation service with a unique energy and feel.
