Meditation is a means of transforming the mind. Meditation practices are techniques that encourage and develop concentration, clarity, emotional positivity, and a calm seeing of the true nature of things. By engaging with a particular meditation practice you learn the patterns and habits of your mind, and the practice offers a means to cultivate new, more positive ways of being. With regular work and patience, this nourishing focus can deepen into profoundly peaceful and energized states of mind. Such experiences can have a transformative effect and can lead to a new perspective on life.

Whether you are an advanced practitioner, simply wanting to enrich your current understanding or are brand new to meditation, join us at Temple Buddhist Center located inside beautiful Unity Temple on the Plaza as we explore ways in which we may deepen our practice and bring more peace and happiness to our world.

9:00am - Opening Bell
9:03am - Instruction in walking meditation and Noble Silence
9:15am - Sitting meditation
9:15am - Meditation 101. Those who are new to meditation may attend this class and return at 9:45
9:45am - Sitting or walking meditation
10:00am - Sitting meditation
10:30am - Sitting or walking meditation
10:45am - Breakout sessions (see below)
11:30am - Question & response or Loving Kindness Practice
12:00pm - Closing Bell
