Lyra Pringle Pherigo is a flutist and singer. As a flutist she is principal flute with the Kansas City Chamber Orchestra and Kansas City Ballet Orchestra. She also plays with newEar, the premiere contemporary music ensemble here in Kansas City. She can be heard often in the Summer time at Starlight Theatre and she plays occasionally with the Kansas City Symphony. She has a Masters of Music degree in Flute Performance from Northwestern in Chicago. She enjoys teaching and has a private studio in her home and at the Performing Arts Academy in Olathe. As a singer she is the soloist/section leader at Unity Temple on the Plaza. She has also sung with the Kansas City Chorale and as a "Star" in the Kansas City Civic opera's production of Conrad Susa's Wise Women.
Susan M. Harp is a singer, writer, and pianist. Prior to coming to Unity Temple on the Plaza, she directed the Children’s Voice and Handbell Choirs at Christ Church Unity in the Northland for 4 years. She released her first solo CD, Break Free, in 2004, and recently completed another CD project with local band, Ancient Vision. She has an MFA in Theatre/Stage Management from UMKC, and traveled for 12 years as a production stage manager for opera and theatre companies. Susan performs in Unity churches as a soloist performer and sings with the choir here on the Plaza. She spent many years performing in jazz clubs both as a soloist and with jazz ensembles. A Yoga-Alliance certified RYT, Susan teaches yoga here at Unity Temple on the Plaza, and loves spending time with her son, Joshua.
